The transition to the circular economy (CE) requires a qualified workforce, capable of facing challenges and meeting current sustainable demands. In this sense, understanding the job profile needs demanded by the market is an important factor in designing education initiatives that are properly aligned with industry requirements. Therefore, this paper aims to identify the key job profiles that support and promote the transition to the CE. Using the LinkedIn platform, available job opportunities were analyzed within the geographical context of the European Union. In general, the findings indicate diverse job positions, ranging from junior to senior levels. In particular, five critical job profiles were identified, namely: 1. Support and Internal, 2. Sales and Customer Relations, 3. Research and Writing, 4. Technical and Engineering, and 5. Strategic and Managerial Roles. Furthermore, this study reveals the main employment sectors, types of employment and work positions throughout a professional career. The insights presented advance the understanding of employment dynamics in a circular economy.
