From Industry 4.0 to 5.0: Integrating Toyota and Hyundai Production Systems for Innovation in Healthcare

This article analyzes the evolution of production systems, comparing the Toyota Production System (TPS) and the Hyundai Production System (HPS) in the context of Industry 4.0 and its transition to Industry 5.0, with applications in the healthcare sector. Its originality lies in adapting industrial concepts to the hospital sector, emphasizing automation, the synergy between humans and machines, and sustainability. Using a literature review, the research employs a scientometric analysis to identify temporal and geographic trends, highlighting the growth of publications since 2018 and the prominence of countries such as India and Brazil. The study contributes to the theoretical understanding of technological integration in healthcare and, in practice, underscores the need for multidisciplinary teams to adopt quality management practices, improving processes and services while enhancing patient safety. The research highlights innovation and modernization in the sector, reinforcing the importance of collaboration between technology and professionals to optimize hospital care and efficiency.
