For a long time, exchanging cryptographic keys has been a big security problem. Diffie-Hellman (DH) key exchange algorithm has been created for solving such problem. It changed the way keys could be safely shared over untrusted networks. This work suggests a hybrid technique that combines DH protocol with Argon2 hashing algorithm to produce secure encryption keys that may be used for both long-term and session-based usage, and lowering the risk of exposure. Through adding encryption to key generation process, the integration makes the key exchange mechanism work better. The findings regarding the experiment show that the suggested modified algorithm, which uses Argon2, provides better protection than the traditional DH algorithm, especially against different types of attacks.

摘要
