In light of Industry 5.0 and Education 5.0, this study investigates how human–AI collaborative learning can help students improve their communication and soft skills. The study employed a quantitative approach and enlisted the help of 37 students from the Communication Center Program at the University of Lisbon. Communication, teamwork, creativity, problem-solving, and ethical awareness were among the 21st-century skills assessed through classroom observations and surveys. With a Cronbach’s Alpha of 0.89, indicating high reliability, the findings indicated high levels of engagement and positive perceptions. Students’ confidence in AI-mediated communication, digital literacy, and adaptability were all positively impacted. Multilingualism, empathy, and critical thinking were all enhanced through the use of AI-based simulations with feedback mechanisms. These findings highlight the potential of AI as a reflective and collaborative tool to develop the kind of cognitive, linguistic, and ethical awareness that will be needed in the future workplace, enhanced through human–AI collaboration.

摘要
