Looking into the drivers of healthcare innovation has shed a light on the inequalities plaguing American society, especially when considering race (Beverley et al. Previous healthcare innovations include the discovery of antibiotics and the creation of medical school education, health insurance programs, and electronic medical records. Recent innovations in the delivery of optimized care include artificial intelligence, wearable technology, and telemedicine. The future of healthcare is progressive, especially with resources being directed towards technological advancements. In the end, the United States healthcare system necessitates a system overhaul.
