Using Agricultural Methods to Control Weeds Associated with Wheat Crops

The research was conducted during agricultural season 2024/2025. The study was implemented using a complete randomized block design with three blocks and two factors, first is planting dates (15/11, 30/11, 15/12 and 30/12). The second is fungicides (Gizmo, Super Spiro and Tricoderma). The experimental units reached 48 units. Wheat seeds (Wafiya variety) was planted at a seed rate of 140 kg ha−1 after treating them with fungicides at dates 15/11, 30/11, 15/12 and 30/12. On 2/3/2025, following weed characteristics were studied: number of narrow-leaved weeds, dry weight of narrow-leaved weeds, number of broad-leaved leaves, dry weight of broad-leaved weeds. The results showed that the Fourth date achieved a significant decrease in number of narrow-leaved weeds and their dry weight and number of broad-leaved weeds. First and fourth dates achieved the lowest dry weight of broad-leaved weeds. Fungicide Gizmo achieved a significant decrease in number of narrow-leaved weeds. Fungicide Tricoderma achieved a significant decrease in dry weight of broad-leaved weeds. Fungicide Tricoderma recorded the lowest dry weight of broad-leaved weeds.
