Research Survey on Various Controller Techniques to Enhance the Performance of Solar PV Grid-Connected System

The global energy demand has increased significantly in the past few years, calling for suitable economic solutions to alleviate the energy shortage. Solar energy is now one of the best renewable energy sources. The cost reductions associated with photovoltaic modules and inverters have enabled the increased use of electricity generation through photovoltaic systems. Consequently, there is a large supply of highly efficient and high-power photovoltaic (PV) systems. In this regard, much effort has been made to develop inverter technologies and integrate them into the power grid. The purpose of this paper is to analyze previous works that attempt to increase the efficiency of grid-connected photovoltaic systems through the modern design of grid-connected inverters and to develop advanced control algorithms to provide better system performance. MOGHO, MPC-APSO-INC, and SCA controllers outperformed conventional methods by performing more efficiently, reducing THD, and enhancing power stability. Finally, many techniques are used for this survey, and then the best three techniques are chosen.
