Introduction: Infectious bursal disease (IBD) is one of the important poultry viral diseases generally impact young bird. Good management and appropriate vaccine are essential way of this disease control. Aims: However maternal Ab titer affects vaccine with live vaccination, to create a Gumboro disease vaccine based on the effects of selenium nanoparticles (Se-NPs) and to study the immune response, hematological and phagocytes index. Material and Methods: A total of 45 day old chicks were used in this work which were divided into to three groups of fifteen chickens every: C1 giving 0.02 mL of Buffered Slain for standardization as (control), C2 were inoculated against infectious bursal disease (Gumboro live vaccine 65VP-1e strain) and C3 were provide with 1 mL of Se-NPs 100 mg\litres. At day 12 a vaccinated program was followed in C2 and blood samples were collected at 19 and 26 days from all groups to detect the effects. Results: a significant increase at P ≤ (0.05) in the Hb concentration and PCV value in the Se-NPs group and subsequently decreased in control and vaccinated group, chicken vaccination with high level of MDA intervene with the result of virus vaccine and immune response result. However better response of immunity is found at 26 day in vaccinated chicken, Person's correlation coefficient between the 3 and 19 days of the experiment in the control group showed no-significant increase in the Ab titer level at P ≤ (0.05, 0.716), Se-NPs had a negative Person's correlation (− 0.935), while vaccinated group showed a significant increases in the Person's correlation coefficient test (0.906). Phagocytic index result were better in vaccinated group than Se-NPS group. Conclusion: The result of this paper indicated that vaccination give the better outcome in comparison to the Se-NPS.
