Takahashi’s formula is widely used to estimate wave pressure on perforated caisson breakwaters. However, this formula was developed based on physical experiments involving single-chamber perforated caissons and therefore has limitations when applied to structures with different geometries. In particular, double-chamber caissons, which are often used in practice in Korea, lack a dedicated formula for estimating wave pressure. To overcome these design limitations, a new formula is proposed based on physical experiments to estimate wave pressure on double-chamber caissons.

摘要

Takahashi’s formula is widely used to estimate wave pressure on perforated caisson breakwaters. However, this formula was developed based on physical experiments involving single-chamber perforated caissons and therefore has limitations when applied to structures with different geometries. In particular, double-chamber caissons, which are often used in practice in Korea, lack a dedicated formula for estimating wave pressure. To overcome these design limitations, a new formula is proposed based on physical experiments to estimate wave pressure on double-chamber caissons.
