An Historical Perspective: Educational, Learning and Teaching Behaviours Shifting Over Time

Considering an historical perspective provides an important background and context when considering shifts in educational, learning and teaching behaviours. As many digital technologies have emerged in the past and are still in present use, the forms of behaviours that can and have shifted should be considered in the current, contemporary and wider context. Digital technologies that have emerged in the past and that still affect behaviours in the present include desktop facilities and their access, physical computing devices, the Internet and information access, communication functionalities and access, and the uses of a variety of mobile devices.
