Recent Energy Consumption Trends in Post-quantum Cryptography
摘要
Cryptography is an act of securing data by modifying it into an incoherent format ensuring secrecy, integrity, and authenticity of the information. PostQuantum Cryptography strategies are the cryptographic strategies which are outlined to resist attacks from quantum computers. According to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), fifteen PQC algorithms are finalized after round 3 of analysis based on correctness, security and performance. This research encourages analysis of PQC algorithms based on their energy consumption in order to determine the best algorithm that will perform best in contexts with limited resources. Further, it compares how well different algorithms perform across different devices.
