Mutations in exon 20 of the EGFR gene (ex20ins) represent a rare but clinically significant subcategory of genetic alterations in lung cancer, especially its non-small cell type (NSCLC). In most cases, these mutations are associated with resistance to tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs first and second generation), making their detection important for guiding treatment. We report here a clinical case of a Moroccan patient diagnosed with NSCLC, in whom an ex20ins mutation was identified using the EasyPGX™ real-time PCR system at the pathology laboratory of the Mohammed VI University Hospital in Oujda.

摘要
