An Inclusive Digital Learning Platform: Leveraging WordPress and Next.js in a Hybrid CMS Approach to Provide Accessibility and Enhanced User Experience
摘要
This paper presents a detailed study of the architectural design, implementation, and empirical evaluation of an inclusive digital learning platform built on a hybrid configuration that integrates the WordPress content management system as a backend layer and Next.js as a high-performance frontend framework and progressive web application wrapper. The platform is designed with a primary focus on ensuring accessibility and personalized learning experiences and is subject to modern approaches in the field of learning and user experience such as Universal Design for Learning, Lean UX and the “Laws of UX”. With its functionalities for adaptive accessibility profiles and multimodal content delivery, the learning management system facilitates the equal and active participation of learners with significant differences in their educational needs. For the purposes of the study, the automated usability testing tools of the specialized software Microsoft Clarity were used, with the help of which the behavior and engagement of users were monitored. The results of the testing prove better interactions with the interface primarily for people with visual impairments.
