Future entrepreneurs’ EI development will lead them to adapt quickly to real-world conditions. EI provides high adaptability, resilience, stress resistance and the ability to cooperate with older generations. EI promotes a better understanding of current market trends, strategic thinking, and self-control, increases empathy and understanding of other generations and nationalities, active knowledge-sharing behaviour, and effective communication and cooperation, which increases the efficiency. This article aims to study the composition of emotional intelligence in Generation Z in business and identify key digital technologies in teaching EI to Generation Z in Universities. This study is based on the use of the “Emotional Intelligence in Business” questionnaire that follows the 4-component instrumental model of EI development in business. The “EI in Business” questionnaire allows the identification of components of EI of entrepreneurs and the construction of group EI profiles in several European countries. We find a high EI in business level of Generation Z, especially Self-Awareness and Social Awareness. This approach increased the objectivity of research on the characteristics of the composition of the EI features of Generation Z. Comparing the structure of EI in business of Generation Z with other generations allows to determine the key directions of EI development. Several digital tools have been described for developing each component of EI.

摘要

The future entrepreneurs’ Emotional intelligence (EI) development is a promising direction in education. Generation Z have been continuously entering the labour market.
