Rising Infertility Trends: Analysing Medical, Social, and Mental Health Perspectives

Inability to conceive is known as infertility, and to produce offspring after one year of regular and unprotected sexual intercourse, which is a growing problem virtually across the world and affects young couples of reproductive age. This paper discusses the multi-dimensional facets of the infertility problem, focusing on medical issues like low sperm count, ovulatory dysfunction, and psychological causes like stress, depression, anxiety, and highlighting treatment options like IVF-ET, IUI. Analysis of literature was discussed on the publications from 1991 to 2023, which identifies the research on infertility trend, and summarizes the challenges, like treatment affordability, peer pressure, and lack of awareness, with the future directions mentioning youth education on reproductive health and awareness policies of managing infertility and mental health support to improve the excellence of life.
