AI-powered expert applications are revolutionizing decision-making across several fields, such as healthcare, finance and public administration. These systems often rely on large databases containing personal information, prompting questions about data privacy, permission, monitoring, and algorithmic profiling. This study seeks to examine how current laws, particularly GDPR and India’s Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act 2023, address these challenges. The paper delves into whether existing regulations are strong enough to manage automated decision-making systems that are unclear and suggests creating a framework to promote responsible AI development while upholding privacy rights. In addition, legal and technical suggestions were made regarding AI that protect privacy while upholding people’s rights while keeping people accountable in an ever-evolving digital sphere.

摘要
