Urban Governance Model Based on ESG Principles in the 15-Minute City
摘要
In the twenty-first century, urban government calls for models that are not only inclusive and effective but also socially conscious and ecologically aware. The idea of the 15-min city presents a good picture of sustainable urban life in which people may get necessary services in a short bike ride or stroll. This paper suggests a 15-min city government model grounded on the ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) framework. This study finds important governance indicators in line with ESG dimensions by means of a qualitative review of current literature and policy frameworks, therefore orienting them within the physical and functional context of the 15-min city. The results underline as pillars of strong and livable urban environments the need for participatory governance, environmental responsibility, and social fairness. Future planning and policy interventions in cities trying to combine ESG-oriented governance with localized urban design find conceptual basis in the suggested paradigm.
