This study aimed to develop a user-centric mobile app to establish an online support community that helps reduce cognitive overload and support individuals dealing with bereavement. YAGNI, KISS, and DRY principles from software engineering disciplines were studied and applied. The app is designed to ensure usability, functionality, scalability, and reliability. The study embraced planning, requirement analysis, design, coding, and testing development stages from SDLC. Its primary feature is a 24-h wall where users can share thoughts or highlights from their day, with AI moderation providing a safe, transient, and supportive environment. This app provides real-time, asynchronous conversations, mindful exercises, protected and fluid identities, and a platform to de-stress and grieve.
