The Use of Artificial Intelligence While Presenting New Vocabulary in Maritime English Teaching

The research explores the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in teaching Maritime English vocabulary to future ship engineers. Traditional methods are insufficient for the dynamic maritime industry, necessitating innovative approaches. This study examines AI tools (e.g. language learning platforms and machine learning models) to enhance vocabulary acquisition. The pedagogical experiment involved second-year cadets of maritime education institutions using AI-powered applications (e.g., Quizlet, LinguaMaris, Memrise, and Anki). Results indicate that AI tools improve engagement, provide personalized feedback, and facilitate the practical application of technical vocabulary. The study concludes that AI integration in Maritime English e-learning enhances learning efficiency and prepares ship engineering cadets for industry challenges.
