IoT consists of digitalizing physical elements such as drinking water meters. This article proposes a topology based on connected meters for managing customer consumption and tracking unmetered losses, as well as improving water quality through a network of quality sensors (pH, turbidity, etc.). The prototype consists of installing a connected meter and sensors in a test area using a digital and connected approach to assess the impact of digitization on the drinking water sector and on the national yield of unaccounted-for water. In addition, a cloud platform and statistical and analytical tools have been developed to help improve the water distribution network.

摘要

IoT consists of digitalizing physical elements such as drinking water meters. This article proposes a topology based on connected meters for managing customer consumption and tracking unmetered losses, as well as improving water quality through a network of quality sensors (pH, turbidity, etc.). The prototype consists of installing a connected meter and sensors in a test area using a digital and connected approach to assess the impact of digitization on the drinking water sector and on the national yield of unaccounted-for water. In addition, a cloud platform and statistical and analytical tools have been developed to help improve the water distribution network.
