The conventional approach to teaching English is on the examination and attention to language itself, whereas multi modal discourse emphasizes the cohabitation of language and other symbolic elements in building language. To build multi modal discourse in the modern era, ideas like animation, color, sound, images, and multimedia are used. The most essential people in a classroom are the instructors, since they enable students to learn English more effectively, develop their ability to express themselves in English, and foster their passion in studying English. This paper explores the use of an ant colony algorithm to build a multi modal discourse path. It then goes on to explain how this path can be used to incorporate video, graphics, language, and other methods into English classroom instruction or to create situational teaching. By combining the English language with other symbolic resources, it can stimulate students’ interest in learning, improve the efficiency of English teaching, fully utilize students’ English language abilities, and help them develop a stable motivation to learn. In order to create diverse spatial contexts and make the most of multi modal discourse in English instruction, the ant colony method may be used.
