Study on the Configuration and Characterization Methods of Single Sand Bodies in the Chang 2 Oil Reservoir of Block Xue 3
摘要
The Xue 3 Chang 2 reservoir is a medium-low porosity and low-permeability reservoir. As field development progresses, several development contradictions have emerged, such as low stratigraphic pressure maintenance levels, uneven plane pressure distribution, prominent profile contradictions, and an increase in localized water-flooded wells. To address these issues, we conducted a comprehensive analysis of core and logging curve data and carried out research on single sand body configuration and characterization methods based on fine comparisons of small layers. We established sedimentary microfacies depiction methods with different sand body spreading characteristics and single sand body tracking processes, and analyzed the relationship between single sand body width and thickness. These efforts have deepened our understanding of the late precise water drive development law and residual oil distribution, guided the comprehensive adjustment and potential exploration of the Xue 3 Chang 2 reservoir, and improved the effect of water drive development.
