Research on the Dispersion Curve Extraction for Irregular Arrays Based on the Phase Shifting

Shallow surface exploration dominated by Rayleigh surface wave exploration plays a vital role in modern industrial and civil applications. As a widely adopted dispersion curve extraction method in active source Rayleigh surface wave exploration, the phase shifting exhibits high accuracy and computational efficiency. However, it cannot be directly applied to irregular array date. To address this limitation, based on the principle of phase shifting and previous studies, this paper attempts to project irregular arrays into a linear arrangement. Then the phase shifting is used to process the seismic record after projection, and the dispersion curve is obtained. The results of simulation experiments and actual data processing show that the irregular array data after projection can be processed by phase shift method, and the error of extracting dispersion curve is less than that of single linear arrangement in irregular array.
