Exploring AI-Driven Personalization for Business Growth in Virtual Economies - a Systematic Literature Review
摘要
This paper investigates how businesses operating in virtual environments can integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI)-driven personalization to drive growth. Even if virtual economies, including decentralized finance (DeFi) platforms, non-fungible token (NFT) marketplaces, and immersive digital worlds become more and more popular, the unique user behaviors and decentralized structures of these contexts need new engagement strategies beyond those used in traditional e-commerce. To address this need, this paper presents a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) investigating how AI-driven personalization affects user acquisition, retention, and monetization in virtual economies. The SLR shows that AI-powered personalization may enhance user engagement and loyalty, leading to improved retention rates and increased monetization through targeted experiences and offerings. However, it also shows limitations and challenges. By analyzing these insights, this study identifies research gaps in the literature. Finally, the study proposes a future research agenda to guide AI-driven personalization strategies that align with sustainable business practices in virtual environments.
