In medical and industry field Gamma radiation is one of the most important tools which is widely used. Recently, the use of gamma radiation in the medical and industrial areas rapidly increases. Electromagnetic radiation produces the gamma rays which have the very high intense penetrating power with shorter wavelength. In view of this, the gamma radiation can used in health and pharma industry for different application viz., various cancer treatment, brain tumours, DNA sequencing, biochemical studies and oncologist purpose. Gamma radiation also used to kill in microorganism cellular cell due to its high penetrating power. Technetium (99Tc) is one of the radioactive tracers among various radioactive isotope which is used for diagnostic purpose. The present chapter explain the application of gamma radiation in medical and industrial filed in greater detail.
