The COVID-19 pandemic later accelerated its adoption, leading to a notable surge in digital fraud threats and an arms race with fraudsters. This chapter concentrates on the application of Fintech innovations following the recent global crises, particularly those associated with the automation of fraud detection driven by artificial intelligence (AI). Fraud incidents and their associated losses are still troubling, creating a dual challenge that involves the effective deployment of innovative AI-based Fintech solutions together with the vital necessity for ethical transparency. The objective of this chapter is to identify advanced AI technologies that can offer a contemporary outlook on fraud detection within the modern finance sphere. AI-driven Fintech solutions tailored for various categories of fraud detection will enhance ethical transparency and aids in the prompt detection of fraudulent practices before they cause substantial damage. The chapter reaches the conclusion that the future of fraud detection depends not solely on advancements in AI technology but also on human accountability and a collective commitment to preserving ethical integrity and promoting responsible innovation.
