In the first decade of the 20th century enormous progress had been made concerning the analysis of absorption and emission spectra of atoms and molecules. They served as the basis for the atomic model of Niels Bohr. His main contribution to physics was his atomic model, which he published in 1913. Other concepts in connection with his name were the Correspondence Principle for the transition of quantum mechanics to classical mechanics, and the Principle of Complementarity.

In the first decade of the 20th century enormous progress had been made concerning the analysis of absorption and emission spectra of atoms and molecules. They served as the basis for the atomic model of Niels Bohr. His main contribution to physics was his atomic model, which he published in 1913.
