Unconcluding Remarks
摘要
At the beginning of this book it was said that the reader would discern a doubtful mood throughout. What has not been doubted though, as emphasized along these pages, is first, that our relationships define the persons we become and the societies we build. Second, that the enclosing nature of capitalism and adultism has harmed our relationships to their core, especially the relationships that constitute who the children and youth are in our societies. And third, that it is not meant to be this way because we can choose otherwise (see Graeber and Wengrow 2021).This last chapter elaborates briefly on these “certainties.”
