This chapter analyzes the qualitative data collected during the fieldwork phases conducted in Ixelles between 2018 and 2025. Drawing upon interviews, focus groups, participatory workshops, and ethnographic observation, it examines how residents, community actors, and institutions perceive and experience sustainability, governance, cultural diversity, and social inequality. The discussion highlights recurring themes, including the tension between top-down policies and grassroots initiatives, generational perspectives on urban transformation, and the role of cultural identity in shaping local engagement. The analysis reveals both convergences and divergences across social groups, emphasizing the complex, contested, and pluralistic nature of urban life in Ixelles.
