This chapter outlines the comprehensive methodological framework adopted in our research on the biocultural dimensions of sustainability in the Municipality of Ixelles. The study spans from 2018 to 2025 and is designed as a longitudinal, multidimensional case study. It is hybrid in nature, taking place in both the material world of urban policy and citizen experience and the immaterial world of digital interactions and representations. We apply a mixed-method approach, integrating techniques of qualitative and quantitative research methods, grounded in a pragmatic research philosophy. The goal is to generate deep, contextual knowledge about the interplay between sustainability and biodiversity, culture, governance, and social inequality in a culturally diverse urban environment.

摘要
