A crucial component of forensic investigation is profiling, which provides insight into the personalities and other characteristics of victims and criminals in general. Although profiling aids in the investigation, the profile of victims and traffickers is still in its infancy because there are not as many research inputs available in this field. To create a thorough profile, the present chapter examines several individual, social, economic, and cultural aspects of both trafficking victims and offenders. Several approaches to profiling were extensively discussed in the chapter. The process for generating criminal profiles was discussed step by step. This chapter also looked into the risk profiling of human trafficking of victims and offenders, and factors were categorised into the individual, family, social, political, cultural, and natural calamities. There is no universally accepted profile of human trafficking available, yet it can be used in investigations. Preventive and intervention methods can also be prepared. Further studies are required in this area.
