Labour Trafficking and Other Types of Trafficking
摘要
The second most common kind of human trafficking is labour trafficking, which puts both men and women—including children—at risk. Due to a variety of economic, geographic, and psychological variables, both men and women are equally susceptible to labour trafficking, and a significant number of children are also trafficked for this reason. The prevalence, risk factors, and industries at higher risk for human trafficking, along with the different social and economic causes of this phenomenon, are the main topics of this chapter. Organ trafficking has emerged as a significant crime in recent times, and the trafficking of human beings for organ trafficking has raised medical and ethical concerns. Trafficking for forced marriage, begging and petty crimes, war and criminal activities are also increasing. This chapter also discusses these crimes in detail. Though many causes have been identified for labour trafficking and other forms of trafficking, the prevention and intervention are still lagging. Both national and international prevention and legal measures are required.
