Using Michel Foucault’s concept of dispositif, our studies analysed the news media coverage of the first year of the Russian war against Ukraine from different perspectives. Our data were collected from European quality online news media of various political tendencies, mostly with the use of Twitter. Our combined findings encompass three main topics: journalistic strategies in reporting, the roles of journalists, and the links between the coverage of the Russian war against Ukraine and the construction of Europe.
