Philosophical Practice in Healthcare: Debate and Reflection
摘要
The aim of this chapter is to explore philosophical practices in healthcare settings. It examines the connections among lived medical and quality-of-life experiences—such as philosophical counseling in therapeutic communities, work with the elderly, drug addiction, fibromyalgia, and cancer—in order to demonstrate its significance. Reflection in healthcare highlights that patients require not only technical solutions to pain and suffering but also a more comprehensive perspective that addresses the existential meaning of their condition.
