This chapter discusses two aspects of philosophical practice. The first is the different types of philosophical workshops such as Socratic dialogue workshops, Socratic cafés, workshops on the art of questioning, philosophical contemplation, group dialogue sessions, philosophical walks, philosophical happenings, philosophical-artistic workshops, retreats, philosophical journeys, and philosophical dialogue workshops in academic settings. The second part of the chapter focuses on the origins and the different types of philosophical cafés that exist in Latin America, Europe, the United States, Canada, and other regions of the world.
