Forest Fires
摘要
Forest fires are frequent and increasingly intense in the Central Himalayan region, causing widespread environmental and socio-economic destruction. This study examines the major causes and consequences of forest fires in the region. Both secondary data sources and field survey observations were used to assess fire occurrence and impacts. Factors such as climatic conditions, vegetation characteristics, and human activities were analyzed. The effects of forest fires on biodiversity, soil quality, air pollution, and local livelihoods were evaluated. Spatial and temporal patterns of fire incidence were examined to understand fire dynamics. Mitigation and management measures were reviewed and assessed for effectiveness. The study highlights the need for integrated fire management strategies to reduce future fire hazards in the Central Himalaya.
