This paper explores the multifaceted roles of librarians as educators, highlighting the transition from resource providers to teaching partners in educational content. More particularly, it presents a case study conducted at the First Multicultural Junior High School of Athens, in September 2023. The librarian-led information literacy project demonstrates the application of pedagogical principles, challenges encountered, and its impact on students’ skills. By analyzing broader trends and integrating this specific project, the paper provides insights into librarians’ roles as key educators and the positive impact this project has on vulnerable social groups, such as refugee and migrant children.
