The Orten Movement
摘要
This chapter presents the urban justice movement that emerged in socioeconomically marginalized areas of Swedish cities in the 2000s. The movement developed mainly through the involvement of young adults, many of whom have a migrant background through their parents. In focus are the movement’s less studied aspects of informality and quiet forms of resistance. The chapter also situates the urban justice movement within earlier forms of resistance and organization and outlines a multifaceted picture of the current expressions of resistance and mobilizations in marginalized neighborhoods.
