Conclusion
摘要
This chapter reviews the significance of Cremin’s life and work and proposes reasons why his legacy as a scholar and administrator has largely stalled, with no full biographical study having been undertaken and no prizes, scholarships, or conferences named in his honor, even by those organizations that he helped to establish. Although Cremin’s liberal perspective on education has not stood the test of time, his biography offers a telling lesson in the history of education in late twentieth-century America.
