Immersive digital narratives represent a valuable resource in the educational field. Therefore, teachers require guidelines for their creation, supported by emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI). This chapter presents various AI-integrated platforms (free, accessible online, and compatible with various operating systems) that can contribute to the design of digital narratives for educational purposes. Specifically, they are grouped into five categories based on their purpose: (1) Character creation: images, portraits, and visual art; 3D animation; conversational characters and simulations; (2) Creation of settings and fictional elements: images and environments based on digital art; 3D environment simulation; and landscapes; (3) Incorporation and modification of voices: text-to-speech conversion, voice generation and customisation; and voice modification and transformation; (4) Video production: creation of videos and animated presentations; video editing; and text-to-video generation; and (5) Creation of interactive stories: visual and multimedia content; choice-based simulations; and tools for planning, writing, and developing narratives. Additionally, various didactic applications of the products created with these platforms are described, highlighting the opportunities they offer teachers to integrate them into the school context by designing playful environments that foster student engagement. Furthermore, the ethical responsibilities and appropriate use of these tools are underscored, ensuring privacy protection, preventing identity fraud, respecting copyright, and properly acknowledging the tools used to avoid improper appropriation.
