In this chapter we investigate other aspects of a solution to the Navier–Stokes–Voigt equations. In particular we analyse the behaviour of Navier–Stokes–Voigt models incorporating a temperature field, but for the backward in time problem where one prescribes initial data and is interested in calculating the solution as time increases in the negative direction. Such problems in fluid mechanics are of much interest and are often improperly posed.
