Diet
摘要
Nutrition is one of the most confusing and emotionally charged topics in health—and patients are bombarded with conflicting messages from social media, pop culture, and commercial diets. This chapter provides a consistent, evidence-based framework that primary care clinicians can use to guide patients through the noise. Grounded in practical principles like caloric awareness, hunger management, and food flexibility, it emphasizes sustainable behaviour change over rigid rules or fad diets. With tools such as motivational interviewing and SMART goals, clinicians can help patients build healthier relationships with food and pursue meaningful progress toward better health—without judgment, hype, or confusion.
