Formalization of Numerical Expressions in Rioplatense Spanish: A Pedagogical Application
摘要
This research focuses on the pedagogical application of NooJ. Drawing from the CETEHIPL (Centro de Estudios de Tecnología Educativa y Herramientas Informáticas de Procesamiento del Lenguaje) framework, we explore and define aspects of the Rioplatense Spanish used by a specific group: young people over the age of eighteen and university students at the UNR. This study also aims to expand the Spanish-Argentine module [8] through the automatic processing of numerals. According to the Nueva Gramática de la Real Academia Española [3], numerals are classified as cardinals and ordinals. Bartulović and Mijić [1] set a precedent in this field by analyzing Medieval Latin numerals to create inflectional models in the NooJ format. Although our primary goal is to describe the use of numeral expressions by this specific age group in our reference corpus [6] and any other aspects that may arise, their work serves as a starting point for us. Our research is intended to be developed as follows: first, we will seek to complete the dictionaries and inflectional grammars in the Spanish-Argentine module. Second, we will design grammars that can analyze numerical expressions similar to the ones that occur in the corpus. While these advances are preliminary, we hope to draw some conclusions based on the use of genuine expressions of Rioplatense Spanish among young people who use numerals.
