Introducing Mwotlap Language Resources for NooJ
摘要
This chapter introduces Mwotlap language resources for the software NooJ. The present contribution explores the module’s design choices and methodology, detailing how the digital resources for the NooJ Mwotlap module were developed starting from Alexandre François's online dictionary of the language and integrating the various accounts of research he produced in the scientific literature, to provide a solid foundation for the encoding of formalized rules and processes, along with a sound theoretical background for their description and annotation. Since key characteristics of Mwotlap led to updates in NooJ itself, such new features are explored and their utility explained. All basic morphological and syntactic parsing tools needed for processing texts and corpora in Mwotlap are covered in this overview, though additional features are present in the module.
