Supply Chain Integration and Blockchain Technology Contribution: The Case of the Wine Industry
摘要
In the contemporary business environment, competitive advantages increasingly arise not from individual firms but from the effectiveness of their supply chains. This research investigates the role of blockchain in facilitating supply chain integration by addressing internal, customer, and supplier integration dimensions. Specifically, the study examines within the wine supply chain how blockchain enables closer integration and coordination between various stakeholders. The methodology for research within this study is based on the PRISMA methodology, and to facilitate a rich and detailed synthesis of the identified body of knowledge, research also uses the Affinity Approach. The study results propose a new conceptual framework indicating blockchain’s contribution to improving the integration of the wine supply chain, which offers valuable insights for agri-food companies looking to adopt emerging technologies to promote the supply chain effectively and improve the competitive position of the companies.
