Rotator Cuff
摘要
Understanding the nuanced anatomy of the rotator cuff is important for analysis and reporting of clinical MR imaging. Various classifications of rotator cuff tears exist based on the tear morphology, location and extent of tendon disruption, and tendon retraction. Reporting of rotator cuff tears should include description of the tear and presence of muscle atrophy and fatty infiltration. Presence of delamination in both partial and full thickness tears may influence treatment decisions. Subscapularis tendon tears represent unique diagnostic challenges due to tendon anatomy and injury patterns. This review summarizes current anatomic concepts and accepted classifications of rotator cuff injuries that must be recognized for accurate communication between radiologists and surgeons.
