This chapter introduces the Imaginarium, a Creativity and STEAM Discovery Center at Mississippi State University. Rural students in the USA face access barriers to high-quality STEM education, including geographical isolation, financial constraints, and a lack of specialized programming opportunities. The Imaginarium addresses these barriers by fostering Transformational Wisdom (TW) in children, their families, and educators. TW bridges the STEM gap and leverages student potential to generate creative, ethical, and community-centered solutions to complex problems. Through initiatives like the UPRISE Project, the Imaginarium connects resources with local needs to create unique learning experiences in which youth engage with authentic problems and co-design solutions based on hands-on activities and reflection. The Imaginarium empowers underserved rural communities to participate in innovative processes with concern for others, the planet, and the future.
