Sustainable mobility is a key theme of the twenty-first century, with the pressing imperative to decarbonise the transport industry, the source of which is estimated at approximately one-sixth of the total emissions relating to energy. Despite the battery electric vehicles (BEVs) adoption being a breakthrough, the use of a stationary charging infrastructure is a basic limitation to the complete electrification of road transport. In the case of a large battery in a large truck, which is used in high-frequency modes of transportation, charging downtime and range anxiety are overwhelming obstacles to large battery sizes, making them heavy and reducing their capacity to carry a substantial load and be economical.
