This conceptual study investigates the influence of social awareness and task awareness on citizens’ attitudes toward adopting blockchain-based electronic voting (e-voting) systems. By extending UTAUT, this research integrates cognitive constructs often overlooked in technology adoption studies. Results may reveal the impact of awareness types on user attitudes toward e-voting, offering new insights for policymakers that ultimately help to boost digital participation. The study would contribute to supporting the design of more inclusive and socially attuned e-voting solutions grounded in trust, usability, and behavioral intention.

摘要

This conceptual study investigates the influence of social awareness and task awareness on citizens’ attitudes toward adopting blockchain-based electronic voting (e-voting) systems. By extending UTAUT, this research integrates cognitive constructs often overlooked in technology adoption studies. Results may reveal the impact of awareness types on user attitudes toward e-voting, offering new insights for policymakers that ultimately help to boost digital participation. The study would contribute to supporting the design of more inclusive and socially attuned e-voting solutions grounded in trust, usability, and behavioral intention.
