Generative Artificial Intelligence as a Technological Resource to Strengthen the Teaching of Naval Doctrine
摘要
This study aims to evaluate the potential use of generative artificial intelligence (GAI) to improve the teaching and learning of naval doctrine in the Ecuadorian Navy. The central problem lies in the limitations in accessing, updating, and systematizing doctrinal knowledge due to extensive and outdated formats, which affect the quality of learning and operational decision-making. The research adopts a quantitative, descriptive-explanatory approach, through structured Likert-type surveys administered digitally to student officers at the Naval War Academy between now and 2025, employing descriptive statistical techniques to identify perceptions and trends. The planned sample comprises between 40 and 50 officers in training, selected by purposive non-probability sampling. The aim is to determine the level of knowledge, willingness, and acceptance of GAI-based technologies, as well as to identify potential resistance or challenges to their integration. The results are expected to demonstrate a high level of acceptance and willingness to incorporate IAG tools into the doctrinal training process, reinforcing the potential of these technologies to facilitate access, understanding, and application of strategic and operational content. The findings will guide the implementation of technological strategies that enhance naval education, promoting a structural change in pedagogical methods and strengthening the preparation of officers for the challenges of the contemporary maritime environment.
